Pregnant women and their partners benefit greatly from learning about the birth process and what to expect during labor. Childbirth education facilitates informed decision-making and contributes to a more satisfying, empowered birth experience. In this two-day class series, you will learn about the physical and emotional stages of labor, what to know in preparation for birth, questions to ask, possible options for birth, what's involved in common medical procedures, and how your support team can best assist you. Additionally, you and your partner will learn, and practice, a full range of simple, practical techniques and coping strategies to achieve greater calmness during labor, reduce discomfort and facilitate the process of birth. This series is recommended for couples who are 27+ weeks.

Having children from a previous relationship, I felt that I had experienced childbirth. I honestly didn’t think there was anything else that I could learn. Kelly opened my eyes; this class became more about being a good partner for my wife. Looking back, I don’t know if I could have been as present as I was for our 24 hour labor, without Kelly’s guidance. It was not an easy labor, one that could have easily ended as a cesarean, but we made it to the end with the natural birth that we hoped for because Kelly informed us so well of our options. Kelly’s guidance not only empowered us as a family, but ultimately strengthened the bond between me and my wife.
